We are the faces of Bettina
Jo has been with our Melbourne Head Office for nearly a decade! She is especially valued for her depth of knowledge on how the industry (really) works and her ability to select talent who will go on to fulfil their dreams in our industry.
Her passion for the industry originated through an early love of Acting and Drama, which she has effortlessly practised throughout her career. Jo has a Bachelor of Education, specialising in Drama, from Melbourne University and decades of experience teaching students in both school settings and the successful drama academy she has since established. Many of her students have continued to succeed in their Acting and Drama careers, featuring prominently in many Australian productions.
As a mother of two boys herself, Jo is relatable to many parents and understands the challenges that many face to participate in the industry. Her passion and animated enthusiasm are evident, especially when she spots our talent in Films and TV Shows!
Courtney has been in the industry for nearly three decades and started working with us at our Melbourne head office. She has since worked at both our Brisbane and Sydney offices over the past eight years. She first took to the stage at the age of 4, forging her career as a professional dancer.
During her early teen years, Courtney took on many notable roles, including dancing alongside Lisa McCune and Bert Newton as Louisa Von Trapp in the production Sound of Music, followed by travelling with the Queensland Ballet as Alice in their production of Alice in Wonderland, where all of Courtney’s performances received outstanding reviews.
Courtney’s career successfully continued into adulthood and spanned the globe between the UK, New Zealand and Australia. She appeared on So You Think You Can Dance and landed in the Top 60, but the highlight of her career was performing alongside Kanye West as a backup dancer during his Australian tour in 2012.
From her previous years of incredible experience, Courtney knows what it takes to be a child performer and introduces our parents and talent to the industry, with her warm personality that is genuinely infectious.
Jess has been working with us for over six years and is our Queensland State Coordinator. A straight shooter who tells it like it is; Jess is experienced in all aspects of the entertainment industry, giving her an extra edge and extensive knowledge on what is expected from young talent today.
Her knowledge stems from her years as a children’s entertainer, both here in Australia and internationally. Jess has also previously performed as a face character and suit performer, at some of Australia’s most popular theme parks on the Gold Coast, so she knows what it takes to be a performer.
As an experienced drama teacher, Jess facilitates many acting workshops and assists little stars in gaining confidence and being able to perform within the entertainment industry. Jessica’s humble nature shines bright when she shares her love for the industry and her knowledge with parents and their children.
National Talent Manager
With over 17 years of performing arts experience, combined with a strong foundation in entertainment, Bianca brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to Bettina Management.
She has bounced between many facets of the industry, starting as a dancing teacher at age 16 and performing at major children’s events and performances throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East. She then found her way to Bettina Management, starting as a casting assistant before taking over as National Talent Manager. Her attention to detail and evident dedication see so many clients using our agency again and again. They cite her keen eye, assistance with all things compliance and her ability to remain calm under pressure, as her top professional traits. We are lucky to have her!
Bianca’s vast audition and castings experience on both sides of the stage makes her a fantastic source of information and advice for our young talent. She regularly attends industry workshops and participates in panels advising on all things relating to the employment of children in our industry. She understands the industry well and strives to use her knowledge to provide the best possible opportunities for both our talent and clients. She takes pride in helping our talent follow their dreams and provide them with the opportunity to shine!
As our National Enrolment Coordinator, Asha is a recognisable name to absolutely everyone that we bring onto our books. If you have a child on our books or are thinking about it, then at some point Asha will be in contact with you. As the National Enrolment Coordinator, she reviews all feedback from introductions sessions. She is the point-of-contact who offers placement to the lucky future stars after consultation with the ‘castings team’ and checking the availability of categories.
As a bright and happy addition to our Melbourne Head Office, Asha spends her days delivering good news to talent, who are successful in joining our books and a supportive voice for those who are not offered a placement on their application. A pivotal member of our team who is always happy to assist our parents with anything they need, and to help them begin their journey with Bettina.
